Birmingham-Southern College to open at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011.
Birmingham-Southern College will open at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, January 11, 2011. All classes and activities will resume at that time. If the weather conditions Tuesday morning were to warrant a change in the 9 a.m. opening time, that decision would be announced by 6:30 a.m. through email, the 205/226-3000 information line, and this website.
Travel conditions could vary across the area, and faculty, staff, and students traveling to campus should always check road conditions near their residences prior to departing for campus. Please allow extra time for your commute on Tuesday and drive safely.

January 2011 Winter Weather Closing Information
Because of the severe winter weather that hit the area overnight, Birmingham-Southern College is closed on Monday, January 10, 2011. All classes and on-campus events are cancelled. Students living on campus should check for information through email, residence hall advisors and assistants, campus police (226-4700), and emergency text in the event of a power outage.
The status of the college for Tuesday, January 11, will be made early that morning. That information can be found at 205/226-3000, local TV and radio stations, this website, Facebook and Twitter messages, and the BSC emergency blog at: http://news-bsc.blogspot.com/.
